2012

Pleased to say that January is well ticked and out the way! (not my favourite month) however it was a busier than usual one with sales being up, so big thanks to all our lovely instore and online customers :)

No chance of anyone hibernating over the winter months, our Drymen whisky club was well attended which Tullibardine Distillery did us proud, and at The Stirling Whisky Club with Glenfarclas in the hot seat, well it was way overbooked (Cameron has to learn to say NO!) however with the Spirit of Stirling Whisky Festival looming he doesn't want to discourage anyone.

With several tradefairs attended up and down the country since the start of the year, there will be new goodies hitting the shelves of the giftshop very soon, oh how much fun I have had!

One for the Boys!

For the month of February we welcome new paintings in the gallery from Ian Elliot, Douglas Roulston, Arie Vardi, Philip Raskin and Donald MacDonald. Some have been absent for a wee while so we are delighted to be showing their works of art again which range from landscape to seascape to the photorealism by Donald MacDonald.

Glasgow Art Show 23-25 March

This March will see Ealain Gallery at the birth of the Glasgow Art Show, a brand new exciting international art fair which will provide a platform in the west of Scotland for the showcasing of fresh, innovative original artworks from some of the finest artists around today. It will give the public of Glasgow an opportunity to see and buy art in a vibrant yet informal and relaxed enviroment.

It will be a spectacle and celebration of all the great art produced, not only in Glasgow or the UK, but from throughout the world at this international event.

We have a limited number of preview (Thurs 22 Mar 6:30-9:30pm) and weekend passes to give away on a first come basis.

Drymen Whisky Club - Thurs 23 Feb 7:30-9:30pm

Glenglassagh Distillery from Portsoy will be our next distillery popping into the Drymen whisky Club.

On the night you will have the chance to taste some exceptional whisky, and be one of the first to try their new 3 year old!

In 1986 the Distillery was mothballed until 2008 when the distillery's fortunes were revived when it was purchased by a new independent group of investors, and following a refurbishment was reopened later that year.

Whisky Club nights are £10 per person with £5 off your first bottle purchased on the night.

To book please click here or call Ealain Gallery on 01360 660996.

Ealain Gallery, 36/42 Main Street, Drymen, Glasgow, G63 0BG
